PROTEIN BISCOFF OATS

Prep time: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • *1/4 soy protein puffs/crisps from Coles
  • 1 scoop vanilla WPI protein powder
  • 1 scoop collagen (optional)
  • 1 tsp creatine (optional)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2-1 cup frozen mixed berries (or fruit of choice)
  • *1-2 tbsp yogurt 
  • * Drizzle of liquid sweetener 
  • *1-2 tsp crunchy biscoff spread (melted if you want)
  • *1/2-1 cup of milk (or as much as you like)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Quick version

  1. Combine your oats, soy puffs, protein supplements and cinnamon in a bowl 
  2. Add your yogurt, berries, sweetener and biscoff on top 
  3. Pour your milk on top 

Overnight version

  1. Follow the above steps and stir to combine all ingredients
  2. But leave out the soy puffs and add these the following morning 

NOTES:

*WPI = whey protein isolate which is an easy-digesting form of protein and is low in fat and lactose

*Collagen = As an athlete, I supplement with collagen to support my tendon and ligament strength, but this is an optional add-in. 

*Creatine = Is naturally produced by the body but aids in supporting lean muscle mass as well as increases the supply of energy to your muscles during short bursts of intensity 

Protein of choice = true protein

* Yogurt of choice = vanilla yopro or natural chobani yogurt

*Sweetener of choice = I rotate between honey or maple syrup 

*Milk = I use unsweetened almond milk
