MAPLE FRENCH TOAST

Prep time: 15 minutes

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2-3 slices of sourdough
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup protein vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup blueberries

Maple nectarines to top:

  • *1 nectarine
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Start by making your maple nectarines

  2. Dice your nectarine into thin slices 

  3. Heat a pan over medium heat and pan fry your nectarine in your maple syrup

  4. Leave on low heat to caramelise whilst you prepare your toast 

  5. Toast your bread

  6. Combine your egg, milk, cinnamon and maple in a bowl

  7. Coat both sides of your toast in it.

  8. Cook in a pan until crisp

  9. Serve with yogurt, extra cinnamon, blueberries and your maple nectarines

NOTES:

* If it isn't nectarine season you can use any fruit and follow the same method
