PROTEIN CHEERIO SLICE

Prep time: 10 minutes

Wait time: 60 minutes

Makes 12-15 squares

INGREDIENTS 

BASE: 

2 1/2 cups honey cheerios
*1 scoop vanilla WPI protein powder
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 cup water (extra if needed)

ICING:

*1/2 block chocolate of choice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl combine the Cheerios and protein powder
  2. Add in your honey and PB and combine
  3. Add in your extra water if the mixture is dry 
  4. Line a square tin with baking paper and press the mixture into it
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave for bursts of 30 seconds
  6. Once melted spread across the top and place in the freezer for 60 mins or until set
  7. Slice up into desired size and store in your freezer 

NOTES:

You can store it in an airtight container in the freezer. 

*WPI = whey protein isolate which is an easy-digesting form of protein and is low in fat and lactose

Protein of choice = true protein

Depending on how thick you want your chocolate layer on top you can use a whole block :)
