HIGH PROTEIN CHICKEN BAGEL

PREP TIME: 20 MINUTES

COOK TIME: 10 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS

Bagel: 

  • 1 ½ cups wholemeal self-raising flour 
  • 1 cup high protein natural yoghurt 
  • Olive oil spray 
  • Bagel seasoning (I used Mingles) 

Toppings: 

  • 1-2 tbsp cream cheese 
  • ¼ avocado 
  • 1 cup diced chicken (I used pre-cooked chicken, but ham or BBQ chicken will work too – or any protein you prefer) 
  • ½ cup spinach 
  • ½ tomato 
  • ¼ cucumber 
  • 1 tbsp Nando’s mayo 

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine the bagel ingredients in a bowl and mix until a dough forms.

Knead on a floured surface and shape into a ball.

Divide into two pieces and shape each into a bagel.

Spray with olive oil and sprinkle with bagel seasoning.

I air-fried mine for 10 minutes at 200 degrees (cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer).

Once your bagel is cooked, layer it with the ingredients or toppings of your choice.

NOTES: 

Feel free to use a store bought bagel or wholemeal bread
