Chocolate Scrambled Oats

COOK TIME: 5-10 MINS 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 egg
  • 1 small banana
  • ½ cup oats
  • 1 scoop chocolate WPI protein powder
  • 1 tsp cacao powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 piece of dark chocolate (or as much as you like)

Toppings

  • Vanilla YoPro yoghurt
  • Fresh berries
  • Maple syrup or honey 
  • 1/2 tbsp peanut butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the egg.
  2. Mash in the banana until mostly smooth.
  3. Add the oats, cacao powder, salt and protein powder, and mix well to combine.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  5. Pour in the mixture and use a spatula to continuously stir and break it up as it cooks – you’re aiming for a scrambled or crumbly texture.
  6. Just before serving, stir through the dark chocolate so it begins to melt.
  7. Serve warm and top with a dollop of vanilla YoPro yoghurt and a handful of berries.
