HIGH PROTEIN WEET-BIX SLICE

Prep time: 10 minutes

Makes 12-15 squares

INGREDIENTS 

BASE:

  • 10 x crushed Weetbix crushed
  • 1.5 x scoops chocolate WPI Protein powder
  • 1/4 cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup hot water

ICING

  • 2 rows chocolate
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein yogurt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, crush your weet-bix
  2. Add in your protein powder and mix
  3. Add in your honey, peanut butter and water and combine whilst also squishing into a paste-like texture so it becomes smooth and no major chunks of PB are left
  4. Line a square tin with baking paper and press the mixture into it
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave for bursts of 30 seconds
  6. Once melted fold through your yogurt and mix until combined
  7. Spread icing over the mixture and place in freezer for 60 mins or until set
  8. Slice up and store in the freezer

NOTES:

You can store in an airtight container in the freezer. 

*WPI = whey protein isolate which is an easy digesting form of protein and is low in fat and lactose
