CHOCOLATE PROTEIN MOUSSE

Prep time: 10 minutes

Set time: 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS 

BASE:

  • 1 square chocolate
  • 150 grams high protein vanilla yogurt
  • *1 tbsp vanilla WPI protein powder
  • *1 tsp chocolate collagen
  • 1 tsp cacao powder
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

TOPPINGS:

  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Choc chips

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a glass jar or bowl melt your chocolate in bursts of 30 seconds in the microwave 
  2. Mix in the yogurt 
  3. Mix in the rest of the base ingredients 
  4. Once combined let sit in the fridge for 30-60 mins (see notes) 
  5. Add your favourite toppings (I like strawberries, choc chips and blueberries) 

NOTES:

*WPI = whey protein isolate which is an easy digesting form of protein and is low in fat and lactose

Collagen = As an athlete I supplement with collagen to support my tendon and ligament strength, but this is an optional add in. If you dont have any handy you can replace with extra protein powder. 

Protein of choice = trueprotein

Depending on how thick you want your mousse will depend on how long you let it sit in the fridge.

30 mins for me makes a great thick consistency but you can definitely leave it for longer or overnight as well.
